"...to live is Christ, and to die is gain." - Philippians 1:21

The College & Career Ministry

at Woodward Park Baptist Church

designed to meet the needs of those 23 to 29 years old

Our prayer – Lord help us become a community of love that celebrates You and Your Word, and makes a difference in our world.

A Note from Pastor Mike...

One of my favorite Bible passages is in Acts 2 where we get a description of the early church.  We are told that the early church ‘devoted themselves to the apostles teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer…’  With that in mind, last Sunday a group of us went to lunch and discussed different things we want to accomplish together.  We came up with the following four ‘areas’ of ministry.

CAREwe hope that we can be a group that loves and cares for each other, that prays for/with each other, that minister to the needs of each other, etc.

REACH – we hope that we can be a group that continues to reach out to visitors and guests, and that continues to do whatever it can to  reach out to the young adults in the community that don’t attend church and don’t know Christ

SERVE – we hope that we can be a group that serves in our local community, and around the world

HONOR – we hope that we can be a group that worships and honors God, and studies His Word faithfully

Those of us that were able to go to lunch last Sunday signed up to serve in one or two of the above stated areas.  To become the group that we hope to be, we all need to step up and do our part.  Please let Keith or I know which area of ministry you would like to be involved in.

We are excited about what God is going to do in our lives, the lives of our friends, and the lives of other young adults in the community.

Bible Study

9:45 - Sunday Morning (Upstairs Worship Bldg.)

8:15 - Wednesday Evening (off campus)

We love, support,  and accept everyone, regardless of what circumstances life has thrown at you.  Our group has single moms, single dads, and a vast assortment of single career people.  Class studies and events are rather informal, but the group is close-knit with a common passion for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mission opportunities

We have been involved in Juvenile Hall functions, Toys for Tots, Hispanic Farm Worker Outreach, Valley Teen Ranch, Mexico House-Building Missions, and many other service projects.
